Speak (2004)

Arvatavasti on raamat parem.

A movie about a young girl Melinda who calls the cops during a summer party and who is being bullied afterwards because of what she did. Little do the bullies know that she didn't call the cops just to ruin their fun but because she went through something horrible that night. So she becomes distant and chooses not to speak anymore.

I expected a little more from this (I shouldn't take IMDB ratings seriously, 7.8, really?) and now I don't have nothing much to say. Kristen Stewart was the same in Twilight, the characters were quite alike. The symbolism was too obvious, even the slower watchers can tell how deep this movie is (explains the high raiting I guess..). I didn't notice the music, so it probably wasn't good enough. And it was extremely slow, I kept glancing at the clock. I wouldn't reccomend it, it doesn't hurt to watch but there are better movies for sure. Maybe the novel is better.
